This Is Spinal Tap (Special Edition)
By Rob Reiner, Michael McKean, Christopher Guest
see related

well it's been a slow day. slow and boring. i watched 3 movies. but one of them was spinal tap so... it doesn't count. it's a rockumentary.

hildo turned up! he posted a comment on my last entry. that led me to look at his site (which i hadn't done before because i'm just now getting into xanga). he had some sweet pictures, especially the one from the future. and a surprisingly cool love quiz.

johnny and mikey dropped in. now i gotta go. peace.

Garden State

well i was moved to make another entry. i too am watching garden state; it seems like the popular thing to do nowadays.

lately i have been wondering where my man hildo is... i'm sure he'll turn up sooner or later. we have a bet on the orange bowl.

i never finished introducing myself. i got to my name and my add (spell it out) took over. i'm in a band. we are called the vanosdols. i'm not gonna say we are the best because we're not. it's just that we would rather be musicians for the rest of our days than get conventional jobs. so we're givin it our best shot. the boys in da band are ben bowlware, luke holt, and derek moore. we are working on thevanosdols.com and purevolume.com/thevanosdols. they'll be coming along soon i hope.

   ben         luke      derek       me

the next facet of me is my general dislike of cauliflower and asparagus. it's not so controlling i have nightmares about the vegetables, but i do have to alter my lifestyle to accomodate. i prefer not to talk about it.

what else? that's pretty much it.

i like animals, but if it came down to choosing whether to be stranded on an island with only animals or only humans, i would go with the humans. call me crazy.

there are a lot of books i'm interested in reading, but i feel like i'm too far behind; i should've started a long time ago and now it's too late. plus i keep up this pretext of not being interested in literature... oh it's all a facade! boo hoo...

oh man i just lost my will to write.

Yeah explodingdog.com is muy caliente. in a figurative sense, of course. it took me a while to get that profile pic how i wanted. like 5 mins. it was worth it. anyway my latest online undertaking is trying to get instant messenger back on my comp. it used to be here, but now i can't find it. i normally avoid online activities in general because i am working on dial up still. yes, that's right- my computer has to dial a phone number in order to provide me with the internet. don't think that i'm ok with this. i find it unacceptable. i tell myself that patience is a virtue. while i'm waiting for page loads and downloads, i try and think about other stuff so i don't get so bored. i'll try and, you know, look at the clock in the corner of the screen and start counting seconds right when the minute changes. i can get pretty close to 60 if i have peace of mind. it's all about the peace of mind. that's how luke blew up the Death Star.

slow internet is what deterred me from getting a xanga. it also deters me from checking my email but every 2-10 weeks. my friends can vouch on this. if i had a capable connection, i probably would be totally up-to-date on homestar runner and other online entertainment. maybe i would play games on the internet. who knows...

nate arnold's computer birthed my xanga. his computer and connection served as my "xanga nebula" if you will. i think i'm letting the nerd in me show through a little. i might have already done that with the Death Star comment. then again, i just got finished watching the boxed trilogy with the fam. the 70s were SO cool. outta sight.

i dig poetry. i wish i could write like E.E. Cummings. not write like him, per se, but write with a comparable originality. this came to me the other day:

you make me feel not

so different from others

as one of many

it's not a conventional haiku because it's not about nature or seasons or crap like that. who needs that jap crap? it's not that i have anything against the japanese, but i'm chinese, and we're not supposed to like them too much. it's a rule.

since my xanga is still fresh out of the box, i should probably introduce myself to those who might not know me. my name is warren and i like it (the name). i think it's better than jason or todd or jebediah or fred. there are some names i really like though, which is why i anticipate a lot of trouble choosing a name for my son. right now, i think i'll have to name him kim (my uncle and grandfather were named kim) kekoa (hawaiian for "one who is courageous") dublin ronaldo vladimir crazy bowser krishna jermaine yates. he's gonna have big shoes to fill. i have to go eat dinner now. if i didn't have dial-up, i could stay online. but i don't. i might post another entry later if i am moved to do so.

by the way the book that i am reading is actually kind of interesting. as far as legal things go.
