Yeah explodingdog.com is muy caliente. in a figurative sense, of course. it took me a while to get that profile pic how i wanted. like 5 mins. it was worth it. anyway my latest online undertaking is trying to get instant messenger back on my comp. it used to be here, but now i can't find it. i normally avoid online activities in general because i am working on dial up still. yes, that's right- my computer has to dial a phone number in order to provide me with the internet. don't think that i'm ok with this. i find it unacceptable. i tell myself that patience is a virtue. while i'm waiting for page loads and downloads, i try and think about other stuff so i don't get so bored. i'll try and, you know, look at the clock in the corner of the screen and start counting seconds right when the minute changes. i can get pretty close to 60 if i have peace of mind. it's all about the peace of mind. that's how luke blew up the Death Star.
slow internet is what deterred me from getting a xanga. it also deters me from checking my email but every 2-10 weeks. my friends can vouch on this. if i had a capable connection, i probably would be totally up-to-date on homestar runner and other online entertainment. maybe i would play games on the internet. who knows...
nate arnold's computer birthed my xanga. his computer and connection served as my "xanga nebula" if you will. i think i'm letting the nerd in me show through a little. i might have already done that with the Death Star comment. then again, i just got finished watching the boxed trilogy with the fam. the 70s were SO cool. outta sight.
i dig poetry. i wish i could write like E.E. Cummings. not write like him, per se, but write with a comparable originality. this came to me the other day:
you make me feel not
so different from others
as one of many
it's not a conventional haiku because it's not about nature or seasons or crap like that. who needs that jap crap? it's not that i have anything against the japanese, but i'm chinese, and we're not supposed to like them too much. it's a rule.
since my xanga is still fresh out of the box, i should probably introduce myself to those who might not know me. my name is warren and i like it (the name). i think it's better than jason or todd or jebediah or fred. there are some names i really like though, which is why i anticipate a lot of trouble choosing a name for my son. right now, i think i'll have to name him kim (my uncle and grandfather were named kim) kekoa (hawaiian for "one who is courageous") dublin ronaldo vladimir crazy bowser krishna jermaine yates. he's gonna have big shoes to fill. i have to go eat dinner now. if i didn't have dial-up, i could stay online. but i don't. i might post another entry later if i am moved to do so.
by the way the book that i am reading is actually kind of interesting. as far as legal things go. |
